Check out a pair of very cool remixes to help you cope with the surging temperature. First up we have a very chilled-out remix of everyone’s favorite English pop songster and extraneous nipple owner: Lily Allen. While the bubblegum “Fuck You” sounded very jangly and perky, L.A.’s Doctor Rosen Rosen deftly transformed it into a much more resonant and loungey number. He’s remixed everyone from Eminem to Department of Eagles, and it shows. The remixed version really packs more emotional oomph into the song and it emerges as a must-have for Lily Allen fans.

Additionally, French synth-pop rockers Phoenix have recently been remixed by L.A.-based DJ duo Nightwaves. Phoenix is currently riding a tidal wave of critical acclaim from their recently released Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix. The original version of their hit single “1901” is definitely ready for a party. It’s kinetic, nervy, and has tidbits of Justice-like synth (is this a French thing?). However, at just over three minutes, it’s a bit short for some club-goers. Nightwaves’ version clocks in at almost 8 minutes and doesn’t skimp on throbbing beats and ethereal loops. The duo has been churning out disco-house sounding “dreamwave” music in L.A. clubs and shows that they have the chops to turn “1901” into a rolling blissbomb that will get any dance floor seething.
